DTU sponsors an Annual Teachers' and Studio Owners' Retreat for the purpose of coming together without students or parents present to distract us from the mission at hand. Fellowship, sharing, learning, motivation, ideas, brainstorming are all an integral part of this exciting weekend. The format is casual and progresses as the event continues. Some points of interest that are discussed are prop ideas, music ideas, competitions, dealing with parents, adequate insurance, recital themes, novelty classes, shoes, salaried employees, taxes and the business end, dance wear, spouses, studio rules and a myriad of other appropriate topics. AWESOME!

This year the event will be held September 23, 24 and 25, 2011, at The Historic Michabella Bed and Breakfast, in Hammond, Louisiana! So come with your ideas, music, steps to teach and note pads for lively weekend of sharing.
