DANCE TEACHERS UNITED
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS INFORMATION
Requirements:
1. Must Be a Graduating High School Senior
2. Must Be A Student of an Active DTU Member.
3. Student must submit an original typed written essay of need and determination. Include 3 copies of the essay. Determine what “Dance” has meant in your life, if you plan to pursue the field of dance, and or any of the related fine arts areas, and your future plans.
4. Must submit dvd of your talent (s). One section must be a spoken section about “Dance” in your life. The tape may not be a recital tape or cut version of a recital tape. The presentation dvd length must be a minimum of 90 seconds and maximum of no more than 5 minutes total. Select and demonstrate your “BEST” Discipline. Perform one routine only.
5. Two billfold size clear quality snapshots, bust or chest photograph, must be attached to the materials.
6. In a cover letter, please State Your name, Age, and the name of your school, your counselor’s name, the school address, and the name of your dance teacher.
7. The deadline for all materials is January 1st to be eligible for the DTU Scholarship.

9. All materials become sole property of DTU. Photos and written materials may be used for advertising purposes. The materials submitted will not be returned.
